Even as CPS opens more new schools, children with special needs have a tougher time finding options. Placements in private therapeutic schools are scarce, and some charters are reluctant to enroll them.

Comings & Goings: At ACT Charter, CPS
NEW CEO AT ACT The executive directors of the Academy of Communications and Technology (ACT) Charter School are stepping down. Founder Sarah Howard and Founding Teacher Karen Croteau will be replaced by Chief Executive Officer Darryl Cobb.
Cobb previous served as chief learning officer for the KIPP Foundation
and was a Broad Resident with KIPP. He holds a master’s degree in
business administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School
of Management and a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the
University of Virginia.

Many of these CPS names are still working--so is the former 2 HS AIO's and a CAO- yet they get a pension- Isn't this illegal to retire and then work as a principal or CAO in CPS when you are paid a CPS pension? they should have to stop their pension if they choose to continue to work for CPS. And Huberman gets rid of teachers because they make too much $.

Sorry to see Olga La Luz, Area 4 leave. She started with minimal support from CPS and started school reform whereby some schools worked on building professional communities in each school and having the teachers pulling together.
