The Great Books Foundation; Preparing for and Leading Shared Inquiry Discussion

Please note: The first six hours of the course will be taught face-to-face to a group of teachers in a central location. The remainder of the course will be offered online in four self-scheduled one-hour online lessons. This ten-hour introductory course prepares you to begin using the Shared Inquiryâ„¢ method of learning through reading and discussion of outstanding literature. The content is simlar to the two-day T-100 Core Course, but the format is different. The first six hours of the course will be taught face-to-face to a group of teachers in a central location. The remainder of the course will be offered online in four self-scheduled one-hour sessions, with some required classroom activities. Participants will receive a free set of Starting Off Strong classroom materials ($59.95 value) for the classroom activities. Those who complete the first day of the course and all four online lessons will be eligible for a Certificate of Completion. Continuing education credit is available. Cancellation policies: The Foundation reserves the right to cancel courses because of low registration. Please do not make travel arrangements until you have received a confirmation notice or contacted the Foundation to find out if your course is confirmed. If you are unable to attend a course for which you are registered, your registration may be transferred to another person until the first day of the course. Your replacement needs to notify the Foundation of their grade level prior to the course. You may transfer to another course or withdraw at no charge up to 14 days before the start of the course, after which a $25 processing fee will be charged. Changes or cancellations within 7 days before the event may result in forfeiture of the full registration fee.
