Illinois Community Schools Forum: Creating a Community Vision for Our Children's Success
The Federation for Community Schools and its members invite you to the 8th Annual Illinois Community Schools Forum: Creating a Community Vision for Our Children's Success. Our 2012 Forum focuses on how schools, communities, families, and the multiple systems that impact our children's development can work together to create a community vision for our children's success. Among other things, this Forum will feature workshops highlighting community school best practices from around from the country covering topics like parent engagement, school-based mental health programs, advisory board development, aligning out-of-school day programming with classroom learning and university-assisted community school models. A Pre-Forum Seminar: Scaling Up Community & School Partnerships offered by the national Coalition for Community Schools will be held on October 18.
