After School Matters will provide approximately 7,000 program opportunities for Chicago high school students at nearly 150 locations across the city.
WHAT: This fall, learn how to design fashion-forward hats, coach football and basketball, write music and lyrics using a professional recording studio and more. There are thousands of opportunities to get involved with After School Matters this fall. There is no cost to participate. Sign up today!
WHERE: At 53 CPS high schools and more than 100 community organizations, parks, and libraries across the city, as well as downtown at the Gallery 37 Center for the Arts. Applications open at www.afterschoolmatters.com.
WHO: Chicago teen residents who are at least 14 years of age and entering or currently enrolled in high school.
WHY: After School Matters provides program opportunities in a safe and structured environment that allow Chicago teens to explore and develop their talents while gaining critical skills for work, college and beyond… and, it’s fun!
