They're meeting at Davis ES tonight to talk about the proposal to relocate McKinley Park ES.
Sorry for the late notice. First I'd heard of this.

they all go to the new school on St. Loius past Kedsie.

he is talking out of both sides of his mouth here. he allowed UNO in the first place and he purposely overcrowded Whittier--so now he wants it to look like he is there for Pilsen. 'he lies' is appropriate here.

community--with this move--they are really getting ripped off. Students, who live exactly across the street from Davis will not have to walk to past Homan to get to school--little children.
Those from McKinley will now have to walk from 39th and California to Homan Av. Is CPS nuts! The parents just do not know any better and no one including Ald. Cadenas will NOT help them.

the community just found out about this meeting too! There will be a NEW McKinley Park school that will TAKE the students away from DAVIS.
Then the two catholic schools leased by CPS now for both McKinley and the Davis--there are two of them, will become CPS charters taking more students away from Brighton Park and Davis.

I'm not sure I understand what the purpose of this would be. This neighborhood is already overcrowded. Does Davis have the space to absorb an entire (albeit small) school?
