Even as CPS opens more new schools, children with special needs have a tougher time finding options. Placements in private therapeutic schools are scarce, and some charters are reluctant to enroll them.

Something is wrong with your blog lately. When you pull it up, the topics are well below where you have to scroll a long way to see them. This has happened on two different computers and engines.

I like this blog because of the collection of CPS related news, comments from people who are (or have been) on the front lines (even if on different sides). So, while I don't know all those other blogs (although I love Chicago Teacher Man blog) real well, if at all, I voted for District 299 blog. If I didn't have this and Substance, I'd have to rely on the mainstream press, which is short on reality. Don't worry, I have lots of other sources too, plus my own experience in the system, so don't slam me for welcoming all points of view.
