CPS officials said Ferguson is planning to get married and is moving to the suburbs with her fiancé. City employees are required to live within Chicago. (Tribune)

A pending state bill that would make it harder to close Chicago public schools has been given another lifeline. After not being called to a vote last week, Speaker Mike Madigan's House Executive Committee has given it an extension. The bill now needs to come to a vote by May 20 before it can proceed to the full House. (Tribune)
