1999-2000: Taken off probation
2000: Intervention

New/Previous Leadership: Fausto Lopez, principal at Jungman Elementary, was tapped in early August as Bowen's new leader. He replaces Principal Alejandra Alvarez, selected by Bowen's local school council in 1995 and whose contract was renewed in 1999.
