Voting For District 299 If you're reading this post, I'm guessing you like this blog.  At least some of the time.  So why not make it official and vote for District 299 on this stupid "best education blog" contest that they're having in DC (Summit Poll)?  Or, vote for someone else -- there are some really good blogs listed.  Just vote.  Two clicks and you're done.  Until the next day, when you can vote again.

Tue May 6, 2008 at 8:05 PMBy: visitor Voting For District 299 I like this blog because of the collection of CPS related news, comments from people who are (or have been) on the front lines (even if on different sides). So, while I don't know all those other blogs (although I love Chicago Teacher Man blog) real well, if at all, I voted for District 299 blog. If I didn't have this and Substance, I'd have to rely on the mainstream press, which is short on reality. Don't worry, I have lots of other sources too, plus my own experience in the system, so don't slam me for welcoming all points of view.
Tue May 6, 2008 at 9:12 PMBy: alexander Voting For District 299 Something is wrong with your blog lately. When you pull it up, the topics are well below where you have to scroll a long way to see them. This has happened on two different computers and engines.
