Brickhouse was run out of Sojourner Truth school three years ago when the LSC found out about his background, and after there had been several ugly incidents at the school. It was CPS that appointed him to the interim position at Truth, They did not tell the LSC or teachers about him. CPS turned around and appointed him somewhere else after they removed him from Truth.
LSCs are generally given NO background information about principal candidates by CPS, including why they left their previous positions. This has been a long-standing problem for LSCs.

sorry i didn't scroll down further when i first read this post and linked to it.
the first few grafs about whether the LSC and parents knew of the principals' background and criminal record are important, however.
people have strong feelings about reproductive rights, on both sides. for me, this is more about background checks and criminality.

I agree there is somewhat of an interesting story about background checks and what LSCs do/don't know about principal candidates, but come on, Alexander. Don't the pictures on that website (not to mention its serious political bias) warrant holding off on posting about this until it is covered by a more serious source?

Although it's not likely to happen, it would be nice if this thread could look into all the "Arne Duncan principals" that are being passed around Chicago. Just about every high school that's been sabotaged and closed gets a serial killing from multiple appointed principals during the year(s) prior to the closing(s). Julian last summer was just the latest. Same same at Austin and Collins, for those with short memories.
Centralized disruption, sabotage, then lurid headlines.

Yes, teachers are on spring break, but are you so desperate for readership that you have to sink this low?
You've been sinking lower and lower in the past several weeks. You aren't a service for teachers. You are a Page 6 detriment. When even George becomes disgusted with you...can Catalyst disown you soon enough?
Here's hoping. If this isn't a potential libel suit, I don't know what is. Grow up and recognize you are by NO means any sort of true journalist. Just a muckraker who might be better employed by TMZ.
