Observations Chicago Teacher Man
Several years ago, the school where I work won a major grant from a private foundation. Much of the money went into staff development, and I have to say, I am the teacher that I am today because of the courses I took and the retreats that I attended in those years. This isn't saying much, but at least I'm better than I used to be.

Supporting small schools LSCs PURE
Twenty local school council members filled the courtroom of Circuit Court Judge Sophia Hall this morning to show their support for the LSCs at Mose Vines Academy, South Shore School of Technology and South Shore School of Entrepreneurship.

Oakley Soccer League Marshfield Tattler
It's quite a contrast from Chicago Indoor Soccer, but I had the luck to check out the Oakley Soccer League facility at 62nd and Oakley tonight. From the outside, it looks like just another abandoned warehouse across the street from the barbed wire keeping people away from some train tracks.

Got a schools-related blog that you like?  Let us know.  We're always looking for other places to read about the experiences of teachers, students, and parents.
