Comings & Goings (Early Bird Preview) The new Catalyst isn't yet fully online, but I've got a few tidbits from everyone's favorite page -- Comings & Goings.  Just for fun, let's do it as a series of blind items:

  • What new centers has CPS opened in 64 high schools and plans to open centers in 16 more?
  •  What bigwig from the Community Trust is moving on to become top dog at LEARN Charter Schools?
  • Which three of the 208 CPS schools recognized by the State Honor Roll are slated to close due to underenrollment, and which one is being turned around?
  • How many millions of dollars is the Gates foundation giving to AUSL to revamp three schools? ($5 million, $10 million, or $20 million?)
Show your stuff by guessing answers below.  The full post will be available within a couple of days -- check here.

Wed Mar 12, 2008 at 11:00 AMBy: Don't Just ............................................. SIT THERE!

Play along.

It is a shame the very people that are suppose to protect the rights of the union members are scared and have given full control of the union over to Stewart and her cronies.

Shame on all of you office staff.

How you disgrace the union.

You should all file complaints of harassment and intimidation for those private meetings you had asking what side you need to be on.

You should also be filing complaints about all those staffers who come in at 11, 12 or 1 pm when they are suppose to be working in the morning.

In the end those of you not doing anything to stop the total destruction of the union you will be loosing you positions and back to the classroom.

I was removed By Debbie Lynch as one of her District Supervisors.

I am an officer of the Union.

My name is Mary McGuire, Recording Secretary of CTU.

Unless I am wrong I was part of PACT at one time and was removed by Debbie Lynch and then flipped to the UPC where I feel comfortable.

I have It easy I did not even have to take notes during negotiations or executive meetings.

Love my job.

Glad I switched sides.
