Picking A Good School From the Washington Post's Jay Mathews:  "This is the time of year many parents seek advice on how to find a good elementary, middle or high school, public or private, for their children. Usually I send them a Washington Post article I wrote on this subject three years ago. But this is such an important topic to so many families, I decided to update my thoughts. Talk to the local community-based child psychologists and find out which schools they believe have special education case managers, principals and teachers who are responsive, informed and actually effective in teaching and supporting children with special needs, especially students with ADD, mood disorders, and behavior problems. How are “the least of our brethren” faring at the school? --- Good luck finding a good one (especially in CPS).
