"Bitch Is The New Black"
Actress Tina Fey went off on politics this past weekend on Saturday Night Live, taking swipes at Oprah and Obama.  She complained about Hillary Clinton being described as a bitch.  To paraphrase:   "I'm a bitch.  She's a bitch.  You know what?  Bitches  get stuff done... It's not too late, Texas and Ohio.  Bitch is the new black."  Here's the video, and here's a partial transcript. I know you think I hate Obama and this has absolutely nothing to do with education in Chicago.  But really, I just think this is funny.

Loved the part about Oprah....

Down with Obamazombies!

Suck up the truth. You are incubating a black Ronald Reagan, the new Ralph Nader who will give smug white liberals the impression that all we have to do is elect a black president, and somehow the second coming will instantly come about. Wake up. Vote for him is ALL they want to do. Then they will polish their manicures, climb into their 40K hybrids and forget all about working mothers, public education and health care.

They'll do what they did when the Cosby Show was on the air. Think the civil rights struggle is over. All these people want to feel good about is themselves.

Mon Feb 25, 2008 at 7:43 PMBy: To Cf "Bitch Is The New Black" It's a joke! Lighten up. Don't think of the B word as bad. I take it as a compliment. It means, I'm smart, intelligent and capable of getting things done in a "man's world."
Mon Feb 25, 2008 at 8:02 PMBy: Welcome back SNL "Bitch Is The New Black" Tina is very cool. That was quite funny and RIGHT ON TARGET!
Mon Feb 25, 2008 at 11:38 PMBy: Being There! "Bitch Is The New Black" You gotta luv it! SNL parodies the "real" news and or is it the other way around? Whichever it may be, Can we have some "straight talk for a change"? YES WE CAN! Go McCain!!!

Tue Feb 26, 2008 at 2:54 AMBy: Bernard "Bitch Is The New Black" SNL comics get to say a lot of things that you can't really pull off. You sound like a little kid who finally got to say the B-word without his mommy slapping him. It's like the time you got to say stuff about Mexicans and run a racist picture on your blog, using the excuse that a Mexican said it first. The image of you slapping your knee and guffawing over the use of the B-word killed the whole SNL skit for me. Time to do some reflecting.

Wed Feb 27, 2008 at 1:15 PMBy: being counter/other Hilary fans "Bitch Is The New Black" I can see why Hilary Clinton's campaign appeals to folks with anger management issues. But I would think that anyone who uses this blog to write about the "master plan and master race" see tall principals thread, would be pretty pleased to see an african american make it this far and appeal to this many people. The truth of the matter is that the Clinton campaign did not have a strategy that extended past super tuesday. She has relied and spent more money on pollsters, one in particular, Mark Penn. Barack on the other hand has put his community organizing skills to work and has built a campaign around feet on the ground in 50 states. Hilary and her campaign have used Karl Rove's majority plus one play book. One columnist called it the "insult 40 states" strategy. You know what...it didn't work. Moreover, I want a candidate that Republicans and independents WILL vote for. Not one we know they hate with a purple passion. By the way, there are lots of people-working people-blue collar people-who are voting for Barack. This campaign was Hilary's to loose and she has done a great job of that so far. For the life of me I can not understand feminists who would rather support a woman with a longer list of liabilities than a man-and an African American man at that. She talks about being ready on day one, but her campaign is a mess-missed deadlines-whining about caucuses-staff turnover-11 straight contest losses-blow outs, actually. Are these the kind of management skills you want in the oval office? I am a feminist, and you have do more than be born with ovaries to get my vote. And would you rather have those latte hybrid drivers voting for mccain? Do you think he will be a better president for public schools and working mothers? Get your mind right.
Wed Feb 27, 2008 at 5:09 PMBy: Being Counter "Bitch Is The New Black" Don't need a president that knows how to preen, be a chauvinist and game the system. Michelle herself cannot keep from rolling her eyes when he speaks. Had quite enough of phonies like that with Reagan and the Bushes.

Want someone that can do the job. That's Clinton.

The ones who hate her are the media who know they crucified and assisinated her husband's administration for no particularly good reason than it was a slow news day.

They continue to need to justify what they did, and if that means continually slanting even the way they report facts (Hillary 'attacked', while Obama 'asserted', etc.), then hey, whatever it takes to avoid a real analysis of the Bill Clinton witch hunt will always be what leads.

Keep stereotyping what you think I should be thinking and you will continue to be surprised, but I'm not obligated to support whoever you understand I should.

That would be the only thing that's left good about being in a so-called 'free' country.

Until we invade Pakistan. Make sure Barack turns in his donors list.
I think we should start the draft list with your children, since you are so willing to follow him to the ends of the earth.
Thu Feb 28, 2008 at 8:58 AMBy: Tell Your Mama I'm for Obama "Bitch Is The New Black" Hilary Clinton has missed the opportunity to wage a campaign that would make women as proud of her as African Americans are proud of Barack Obama. Why all this talk about image? Anyone willing to dig a little into the campaign history and structure of each candidate will easily find all sorts of gems to explain why Barack Obama is appealing to so many and why Hilary, despite being very capable and qualified, is not able to seal the deal. Here's a nugget for you.

"If Hillary loses, Penn will still have a nice consolation prize in John McCain's candidacy and/or presidency.
Why?
1) Mark Penn is the CEO of Burson-Marsteller.
2) Charlie Black is the chairman of BKSH, the lobbying subsidiary of Burson-Marsteller.
2) Charlie Black is also John McCain's top advisor.
And this is why you cannot place any trust in Clinton's '35 years' of ephemeral experience: For a person with such vaunted capabilities, she has yet to fathom that she is being used to further Republican interests. Consider why the attacks on Obama from both Clinton and McCain are similar. Those attacks are coming from the same source. Her hubris is not allowing her to view the situation with candor."

For the record, I am not willing to follow any President to the ends of the earth, and would be hard pressed to imagine any scenario that justifies offering my children to the military. That's why McCain is not an option. As for releasing Barack's list of donors, I think that is already public record. You know what isn't public record-the Clinton's tax returns with all their Kevin Bacon-six degrees of separation-speaking fees-former dictator foundation donor information. Hmmmm... You know what else isn't public record? Hilary Clinton's papers from the Clinton administration. Believe it... if Barack had something to hide-the Clintons would have used it by now. Finally, wasn't Hilary who voted for the war in Iraq and gave a similar green light to Bush on Iran. Oh yeah. As much as I would like to be able to support the most viable female candidate for the presidency, there are all these loose ends hanging around. Step away from the cool aid.
