Tribune Columnist Takes Over Snow Day Duties Over at the Tribune, columnist Eric Zorn has single-handedly taken over CPS's snow day announcement operation (Change of Subject).  First, he got them to promise to update their website more frequently.  Then he got them to add an announcement on the phone system that will let folks know what's going on with snow.  It won't be long before it's his voice that we hear on those announcements.  And, by winter's end, I predict that CPS will be asking Zorn to make snow day decisions for the city school system.

They need to have an update on the website. Whenever it's snowing a lot. Even if there is school. Today is Thursday, February 7, and school is open. (delayed, closed, whatever instructions need to be there).

Wed Feb 13, 2008 at 9:55 PMBy: My Take Tribune Columnist Takes Over Snow Day Duties I don't really see a point--Chicago doesn't have snow days. I think if we had a 1967 blizzard they still wouldn't close the schools. Until that changes, its basically announcing that Franco is still dead.
