This 2007 Washington Post article focuses on Obama's
background as a Chicago organizer, pointing out that both he and Clinton were fascinated with famous organizer Saul Alinski (A Common Ideological Touchstone). Obama took the job offer from Alinski's IAF. Clinton wrote a paper about the organization, but turned down the job.

My God: Two candidates who not only know about -- but actually had job offers from Saul Alinksi. Do you think W has even heard of Saul Alinksi? I don't know who will win, but I think things are looking up again for this country. (As long as it's not a Republican.)

One correction - it was not clear in the Post article, but Obama did not take a job with IAF. He worked for, trained in, and was an organizer with a different community organizing network, the Gamaliel Foundation (gamaliel.org), also in the Alinsky tradition.

Saul Alinsky was without a doubt a despicable human being. It is unfortunate that Americans have become so incompetent, regressing in social political evolution and intellectual capability. In no way do a majority, or a modicum citizenry, believe in this craven ideology of political anarchy. Although Saul seems to be tactical, like his mentor, Satan, who was allowed a second class status by God , he doesn't seem to elaborate on the consequences of his governmental highjacking. Constitutionalists in the U.S.A are adept at defeating their domestic and exotic enemies. If you Alinsky agitators exerted too much force, your hand would be slapped and you would be simultaneously corrected and reminded of your position in the hierarchy by proponents of the Constitution. So I encourage a scuffle with your ilk, because the iron clad fist of liberty, democracy, and freedom will inherently prevail.
