Magnet Deadline Reminder Friday The folks at CPS want to make sure everyone knows that Friday is the deadline for magnet applications. The write:
The deadline for applications for CPS’ magnet elementary schools and high schools, elementary magnet cluster schools, high school magnet programs, open enrollment schools, and schools and programs for advanced students, including regional gifted centers, classical schools, academic centers, selective-enrollment high schools, and International Baccalaureate programs is Friday, Dec. 21.
Standard applications and the application for gifted and enriched programs at elementary schools can be obtained at cpsmagnet.org or cpsgifted.org, or by calling 773-553-2060. The Options for Knowledge guide can also be downloaded from the websites. Selective-enrollment high schools and military academies require a special application, which can be obtained from those schools or by calling 773-553-2060.
Applications must be postmarked by Dec. 21; standard applications are to be submitted to the school(s) to which students are applying, and the applications for gifted and enriched programs, selective-enrollment high schools, and military academies are to be returned to the Office of Academic Enhancement, 125 S. Clark St., Chicago, IL 60603.
