Who's The Next Principal For CICS Bucktown?

From a curious reader: " After years of solid leadership principal Turon Ivy is leaving [CICS Bucktown] to take another position with the CICS. Do you know who the new New Leaders Principal is for the Bucktown school?"

I have no idea -- but I bet you do.

My favorite CICS principal will always be Joseph Nurek, once upon a time of CISC "Belden." Amazingly, they seem to have purged most of the references to the guy from the Internet. One of my favorite keepsakes from charterland was the testimony he gave before the House Committee on Education in Washington, D.C. (along with an entourage of zealous "parents" praising the charter alternative to the skies).

Before he got caught with (a) that mega collection of child dirty pictures and (b) that underage boy roommate.

Turon Ivy is the principal at the bucktown location. He has done a great job with that location. Now he is leaving and Hope Mitchell is taking over.
From what I know she comes from New Leaders. Anyone know if she has taught in Chicago? I am a little leary after reading all this stuff about the NLNS.
I am looking at this school for my kids and would like more information.

Hope Mitchell has taught extensively at two CPS Charter Schools and an International School in Kingston, Jamaica. In addition, she has worked in a post-Katrina Charter School in New Orleans and South Africa as a well-respected Administrator. Please do not judge her based on the New Leaders for New Schools Program. Hope endured a tremendously intense vetting process and survived with flying colors.
